LAW ENFORCEMENT

The following information is provided for law enforcement authorities seeking information regarding users of Cryptee's services.

ABOUT CRYPTEE

Cryptee provides various secure services to users all around the world. You can learn more about our products and services by browsing our website. Our services are offered by Estonian based Svartlab OÜ.

Using Cryptee's services for activities that break Estonian law is against our terms and conditions. Under Estonian law, we're required to cooperate with law enforcement agencies on criminal investigations within the framework of Estonian & EU laws and privacy regulations.

USER NOTIFICATION POLICY

While the Estonian law does not require service providers to notify users of law enforcement data requests, we at Cryptee are strongly committed to transparency. So as a matter of our policy and values, we will make all reasonable efforts to notify affected users when we receive a lawful request for access to the limited data we have about our users, unless doing so is prohibited or restricted by law. However, notification may be delayed or withheld in some situations such as:

• Where notification is prohibited by law or court order
• Where notification is restricted due to an active investigation
• Where notification could cause physical, emotional or material harm to others

REQUESTING ASSISTANCE

Whether you're an Estonian, European, or a foreign law enforcement agency, we recommend that you contact us at :

legal @ crypt • ee

We'll generally respond to you within one to two business days depending on timezones. More critical cases will automatically be given higher priority by our team.

We recommend that law enforcement agencies contact us directly beforehand because it allows for efficient communication and action. Our team will be able to advise you on whether or not we'll be able to assist you with your particular case, if the kind of data you're looking for is even available to us or not, and assist with the preservation of data if we believe that your request will be validated by Estonian authorities.

Depending on the nature of your case and which country the request is originating from, we may redirect you to the competent Estonian authorities in order to respect the relevant Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) or your local international police cooperation organization.

If your request is to disable or suspend an account that is being used for phishing, spamming, or abuse, we can generally assist you without requiring an Estonian court order. Please address any request for suspension with relevant evidence to:

Please note that in no case will Cryptee provide you with data directly following contact.
If any data can be requested, it will always be transmitted through the Estonian authorities.
